| Pat first came to the
attention of John & Robert during the summer of 1991. For the first six months
or so a different entertainer appeared each weekend at the Feed Company. A TFC
employee had heard Pat play at a local club in Bend and suggested that he might have a
good sound for our Saloon. Pat played
one weekend, then missed two to a previously booked act. After that, the stage has
belonged to Pat for an incredible ten year span!! His sound is as much a part of the
TFC Saloon as are the wood paneled walls, western art, and turn-of-the-century bar. In
fact, a lot of the western art in the Saloon is original work by Pat!!!
Pat was raised in both southern Missouri
and near Ukiah, California. After tiring of rock music in the 60's, Pat took off for
Nashville in hopes of getting lucky and landing a recording contract. Not wanting to
spend his life there, he relocated to the Rocky Mountain region in the late 70's, where he
assembled and toured with many different bands.
In about 1987, Pat relocated to Medford,
Oregon with his young family, and after taking a Sunday drive to Bend in 1990, decided
that "this is the place", and relocated here for good. The rest is Pat
Thomas and Tumalo Feed Company history!
A veteran of over 40 years in the music
business, Pat has played from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Fairbanks, Alaska. We're
glad he's found a home here at the Tumalo Feed Company!!
